The International Skating Union (ISU) has officially announced the assignments for all six events of the ISU Grand Prix series of Figure Skating.
This season, due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, all of the competitors in each event are domestic skaters and those who train in the country or geographical region of the countries hosting the events.
No ranking points will be awarded for the results, as not every athlete is able to participate in the series due to the pandemic. As long as an event hosts six ladies, five men, four pairs, and five ice dance couples – the event will be considered a “qualified event.” A qualified event will have a prize money total of $25,000 per discipline. Failure to meet the criteria means a prize money total of $8,000 per discipline.
