Two-time World Championship winning pair Sui Wenjing and Han Cong have withdrawn from the Chinese stage of the ISU Grand Prix series, scheduled to take place in Chongqing from November 6 to 8.
The Cup of China is the next scheduled stage of this year’s expected four-event series, and is the smallest based on the the number of participants (six men, five ladies, three pairs, five ice dance couples). It is also the only event where all of the participants are Chinese nationals.
Currently, it is expected to be headlined by fourth place winner at the 2018 Winter Olympics and two-time World Championship bronze medalist Jin Boyang.
