Russian sports news website Championat published an interview with 2015 World and European champion Elizaveta Tuktamysheva. In the interview, the 25-year-old figure skater said she will try a quad toe loop at the National Championship at the end of December.
“I do not jump a lot, so far about 30% of attempts are successful because I only began performing a quadruple toe loop in training two weeks ago. To include it in the program, there must be confidence in the element, and for this it is necessary that at least 70 percent of practice attempts are successful. We will be working on that stability now.
We are slowly working on it but I don’t think we will have time to prepare for the Moscow stage of the Cup. Rather, for the first time this season I will try a quadruple toe loop at the Russian Championship in Chelyabinsk.”
The final stage of the Cup of Russia series will take place at the Megasport Sports Palace in Moscow from December 5 to 8. The Russian National Figure Skating Championship will take place at the end of December in Chelyabinsk.
