The Figure Skating Federation of Russia announced that 2015 World and European champion Elizaveta Tuktamysheva has tested positive for the coronavirus and will miss the fifth stage of the Cup of Russia series this weekend.
Russian news agency TASS report that the General Director of the federation Alexander Kogan confirmed that the teammates of Tuktamysheva on Alexei Mishin’s team – Mikhail Kolyada and Anastasia Guliakova – have withdrawn from the event as well.
Reigning European champion Dmitri Aliev has also tested positive for COVID-19. This was announced by the athlete’s coach Evgeni Rukavicin: “Dima has tested positive for the coronavirus, so we have to miss the Cup of Russia stage in Moscow. We hope to recover, prepare for the Russian Championship and perform in Chelyabinsk.”
