Originally scheduled to take part from February 8 to 14 in Vancouver, the 2021 Canadian Figure Skating Championships have been canceled due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
Debra Armstrong, the CEO of Skate Canada, said: “Due to the continuous shift in requirements across the country, the inability of our athletes to train due to the closure of ice rinks and the number of participants that would be required to travel, it became clear that it would not be possible to host these events.”
The last time the Canadian Nationals were canceled was in 1943 due to World War 2.
