The Figure Skating Federation of Russia announced on Tuesday that reigning national champions and medalists at multiple World and European Championships Evgenia Tarasova and Vladimir Morozov will train with coaches Eteri Tutberidze and Maxim Trankov.
According to the press release, the pair will train at the Khrustalny ice rink in Moscow; Tarasova will continue to represent Tatarstan while Morozov will represent Sambo-70.
26-year-old Tarasova and 28-year-old Morozov have worked with Tutberidze’s team since the coach’s Champions on Ice show at the end of the 2020-2021 figure skating season, and performed an exhibition program choreographed by the team’s choreographer Daniil Gleikhengauz.

2014 Olympic gold medalist Trankov has been working with Tarasova and Morozov for a few years. Tutberidze is a former ice dancer herself and has found success coaching multiple Olympic, World, and European champions in the ladies category. This will be her debut working in pairs skating.
Tarasova and Morozov have been competing together since 2012 and placed fourth at the 2018 Winter Olympics, as well as became silver medalists in the team event with the Olympic Athletes for Russia. They have also won two silver medals and one bronze medal at the World Championships, won two consecutive European Championships in 2017 and 2018, won the 2016-2017 ISU Grand Prix Final, and are three-time Russian National champions.
