14-year-old Russian figure skater Elizaveta Osokina has left the CSKA team and is switching to pair skating. She will skate will Andrei Rud and train with Nina Mozer – best known for coaching 2014 Olympic gold medalists Tatiana Volosozhar and Maxim Trankov, as well as 2014 Olympic silver medalists Ksenia Stolbova and Fedor Klimov.
The transition was confirmed by Osokina’s now-former coach at CSKA Elena Buianova.
At the Russian Junior National Championships in February, Osokina placed seventh in the ladies event – just 0.04 points behind Anna Frolova in sixth place. In early April, she won the Russian Championships among older junior skaters, ahead of Alina Gorbacheva and Daria Sadkova.
