At the fifth stage of the International Skating Union (ISU) Junior Grand Prix series, Ilya Yablokov won a third consecutive gold medal for Russia’s junior men – including his second medal, having won silver at the third stage.

The 17-year-old Russian began his free skate with a quad loop and then landed a triple loop. Yablokov attempted another quad – a toe loop – but fell on the attempt. He completed the remainder of his jumps without issues: a triple axel-triple toe loop combination, a triple Lutz-Euler-triple Salchow combination, a triple axel, and a triple flip-triple toe loop combination. Yablokov received a score of 153.10 points for the free skate and earned a total competition score of 231.99 points.

Estonian figure skater Arlet Levandi celebrated a second silver medal on the Junior Grand Prix series this season, having been second at the second stage. The 15-year-old did not attempt any quads but received positive grades of execution on all of his technical elements. Sixth after the short program, Levandi received a score of 134.75 points for the free skate and rose to second place with a total competition score of 194.35 points.
