Results at Master’s de Patinage

At the Master’s de Patinage – an annual figure skating test competition in France – Gabriella Papadakis and Guillaume Cizeron received a score that is higher than the world record, Adam Siao Him Fa took the victory in the men’s event, and Mad’a Mazzara won the women’s event.

Papadakis and Cizeron received a score of 93.79 points for their rhythm dance performance and received a score of 137.31 points for their free dance. Their overall competition result was 231.10 points. The 2018 Olympic silver medalists and four-time World champions are owners of the current official world record scores: rhythm dance – 90.03 points, free dance – 136,58 points, and total score – 226.61 points. All of these scores were achieved at the 2019 NHK Trophy.

In the men’s competition, Adam Siao Him Fa took advantage of a difficult outing by Kevin Aymoz to overtake him with a good free skate performance. Third after the short program, Siao Him Fa presented a clean free skate routine with two quads – a toe loop and a Salchow – and the remainder triples. Meanwhile, Aymoz fell three times – on a triple axel, a triple Lutz, and a double flip – and also did not complete a combination spin.

In the women’s event, two-time French national silver medalist Maia Mazzara edged out reigning national champion Lea Serna. None of the participants in the competition attempted triple axels or quads and the winner was simply the one to make less technical errors.
