On Friday, the International Skating Union (ISU) announced that the postponed ISU Grand Prix Final will not take place this season.
Originally scheduled to be held from December 9 to 12 in Osaka (Japan), the competition was cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic on December 2. The ISU officially postponed the event, hoping that there would be an opportunity to hold the event at the end of the season.
Unfortunately, the ISU and the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating Group could not find a solution to maintain the event and hold it in the spring. The ISU Council regrettably decided to cancel the 2021-2022 ISU Grand Prix Final.
