Russian sports news website Sport-Express reports that figure skater Egor Rukhin has left Eteri Tutberidze’s team at Khrustalny and has transferred to Evgeni Plushenko’s Angels of Plushenko.

The 17-year-old figure skater began the 2021-2022 season at CSKA with Elena Buianova and medaled at two stages of the International Skating Union (ISU) Junior Grand Prix series – taking second place in Russia and third place in Poland. Afterwards, he rejoined former coach Eteri Tutberidze.

Following an eighteenth place finish at the Russian Championships two weeks ago, Rukhin was seen in a training session at Angels of Plushenko and then participated at Plushenko’s Nutcracker show.

Both Rukhin and Plushenko declined to comment.
