Mikhail Kolyada withdraws from European Championships

The Figure Skating Federation of Russia announced a major withdrawal from next week’s 2022 European Championships in Tallinn, Estonia – Mikhail Kolyada will not be able to take part due to an injury.

According to the report, the two-time European bronze medalist Kolyada sustained an injury during training. Coach Tatiana Mishina told Match TV that Kolyada suffered an injury to his right foot.

A source told Russian news agency TASS that the recovery period for the injury is about a week.


Kolyada will be replaced by 2020 World Junior champion Andrei Mozalev, who recently won the bronze medal at the Russian Nationals.
