Paul Triukas – freelance sport writer and aspiring sports journalist.
Initially became a freelance sports writer in 2009 at the age of 15 for two Lithuanian American newspapers based in Chicago – Draugas (Friend) and Čikagos Aidas (Echo of Chicago). Covered a variety of sports and was accredited as a member of the media at the EuroBasket 2011 major basketball competition.
In 2013, during a single semester at College of DuPage, was the sports editor of the school’s newspaper & in 2016 was a media volunteer for the Chicago Fire Soccer Club during the MLS season.
Have kept a passion for sports and maintained an enthusiasm about the ins and outs of athletics since graduating with a degree in communication studies from Elmhurst University, but more as a participant: 4-time finisher of the Chicago Marathon, first degree black belt in taekwondo, blue belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu.
Looking forward to spreading the greatness of sports with this website and beyond.
